Qld: Health workers overpaid in payroll confusion

Queensland Premier Anna Bligh has admitted a number of nurses and doctors have been
overpaid in a payroll bungle.

The Courier-Mail says Queensland Health has asked doctors and nurses across the state
to hand back 27 million dollars in overpayment for work in the past five years.

Ms BLIGH says that Queensland Health employs more than 72-thousand people .. some in
very remote places and many on changing shifts.

She says 90 per cent of the overpaid money has already been paid back.
