Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska has begun rolling out a new service offering distributing its VOD content and its live TV channels over the Internet. Called "mmTV.pl," the service gives users access to more than 1,000 movies that are split into four categories: premium, recommended, popular and top 10.
The service also offers the TV channels that come in the cableco's basic digital package, though it has said premium channels will be added throughout the year.
Polska said it will eventually offer a variety of tiers with varying channels, movies and recording offerings.
Packages are expected to start at around PLN9.99 ($3.25). Polska is Poland's third-largest cableco and has roughly 400,000 Internet subscribers.
