BUSH AIMS TO EASE EUROPEAN CONCERNS.(MAIN)

WASHINGTON -- President Bush is tweaking some administration policies that alarmed Europeans as he prepares to leave Monday for summits in Europe with two dozen leaders in five days -- including his first meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In recent days, the President and senior administration officials have signaled a flexible approach on at least five issues that have worried European allies.

Bush warms up for his scheduled two-hour encounter with Putin in Slovenia on Saturday with a stop in Spain Tuesday, a meeting with leaders of the 19-nation NATO alliance in Belgium on Wednesday, a summit with the 15-nation European Union in Sweden on Thursday and a visit to Poland …
