COLONIE Erlau ``Blacky'' G. Carroll, 78, of Timberland Drive, Loudonville, died Saturday at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Carroll was born in Worcester, Otsego County. He was raised in Ilion, Herkimer County, and graduated from Ilion High School in 1936. He had been a resident of the Capital Region since 1952.
He was initially a sales representative for the C.F. Mueller Co. and subsequently a sales representative for SOFCO Inc. of Scotia for 25 years before retiring in 1991.
Mr. Carroll was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church of Colonie and its first vestry.
