NSW: Super complex proposal thrown into doubt

SYDNEY, Feb 6 AAP - Plans for a $700-million sporting and leisure complex in Sydney's
south-west are in doubt following the state government's announcement it would consider
extending its statewide poker machine freeze.

The 30-hectare Oasis development to be built at Woodward Park has been billed as the
largest centre of its type in Australia.

But one of its proponents, Canterbury Bankstown Leagues Club, said the new development
hinged on approval for 600 poker machines.
