Fed: CASA lifts threat to close Ansett
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority has lifted its threat to shut down Ansett Airlines
over safety problems.
CASA says it won't go ahead with the show-cause notice, which would have given Ansett
two weeks to show why it should be allowed to keep flying.
It says tits decision follows acceptance of a comprehensive plan for reform of Ansett's
operation, particularly in the maintenance area.
